The First Meeting Of The Special Committee Postponed, PKS Please Investigate The Implementation Of Hajj 2024 Tak Kendor

JAKARTA - Member of Commission VIII DPR RI from the Wisnu Wijaya faction hopes that the efforts of the DPR's Hajj Committee to investigate the implementation of the 2024 Hajj will not be slack. Although the inaugural meeting to determine the leadership of the DPR's Hajj Question Committee was postponed.

It is known that the Special Committee for Hajj Hajj in the DPR was officially formed on July 9 through a Plenary Meeting chaired by the Deputy Speaker of the DPR RI, Muhaimin Iskandar. All factions have agreed and have sent the names of members of the cross-commission faction who were sent to become members of the Hajj budget special committee.

Referring to Article 189 of the DPR RI Regulation on Order, the budget committee is given a maximum of 60 days to work starting from the formation of the picket committee.

"We understand that this delay is unfortunate for many parties, especially from the congregation who have high hopes for this Hajj budget special committee. On the other hand, this also affects the effective working period of the institutional Hajj budget committee," said Wisnu to reporters, Thursday, July 18.

Nevertheless, Wisnu ensured that members of the Hajj budget special committee from the PKS faction had started the initiative to work independently. Among them are by conducting research, collecting related materials/documents, consulting with a number of stakeholders and meeting with constituents to absorb the aspirations of the community around the evaluation of the implementation of the Hajj in preparation for the Hajj budget committee meeting.

"Moreover, this momentum coincides with the DPR's recess," he said.

The PKS legislator for the Central Java electoral district is gradual, the initiative of members of the Hajj budget committee can contribute to the effectiveness of the Hajj budget committee meetings in the future. He also hopes that the findings, ideas, and input from various elements can help the performance of the Hajj budget committee in preparing work plans effectively and efficiently in the remaining time span.

"We hope that the inaugural meeting after the election and determination of the leadership, the Hajj budget special committee can immediately start a series of work, including proposing a list of priority parties who must be summoned for questioning, determining what central issues must be investigated, and determining what documents must be shown and/or obtained for the purposes of investigating the Hajj budget special committee," he hoped.

That way, added Wisnu, the postponement of the Hajj Anggat Special Committee meeting on Wednesday, July 17, yesterday was considered not to relax the DPR's efforts to carry out a comprehensive investigation of the implementation of the 2024 Hajj in a timely and responsible manner.

"We believe that colleagues from other factions in the DPR also have a strong commitment to make it happen," he concluded.
