KPK Denies There Is Intervention In The DPR Official House Case That Dragged Indra Iskandar

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has confirmed that there is no intervention related to the investigation into allegations of corruption in the procurement of official housing for council members that dragged the Secretary General of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Indra Iskandar. The detention is only a matter of time.

"Why haven't this been detained, are there interventions and others from any party, there is no intervention," said KPK Investigation Director Asep Guntur Rahayu to reporters quoted on Thursday, July 18.

Asep argued that this detention was still waiting for the calculation of state losses caused by the procurement process. This amount is necessary because the perpetrators are charged with Article 2 or Article 3 of the Anti-Corruption Law.

"So until now we are still coordinating with those who have calculated state losses," he said.

"(The amount of state losses, ed) is one of the elements of the article that we have to fulfill," continued Asep.

As previously reported, the KPK is investigating allegations of corruption at the Secretariat General of the DPR regarding the procurement of furniture or furniture at the official residence of lawmakers. It is suspected that the filling of the living room to the bedroom was rigged.

A total of seven people have been prevented from leaving the country in this case. From the information gathered, they are the Secretary General of the DPR Indra Iskandar; Head of the Rumjab Management Section of the DPR RI Hiphi Hidati; President Director of PT Daya Indah Dynamics, Tanti Nugroho; and Director of PT Dwitunggal Bangun Persada, Juanda Hasurungan Sidabutar.

Then it was also prevented by the Director of Operations of PT Avantgarde Production, Kibun Roni; Project Manager of PT Integra Indocabinet, Andrias Catur Prasetya; and Edwin Budiman who are private.

The modes that occur in this case are violations of several provisions related to the procurement of goods and services and budget inflations or mark-ups. The official residences whose contents are corrupted are located in Kalibata and Ulujami, South Jakarta.
