JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo welcomed various collaborations between Indonesia and the United Arab Emirates (PEA), in the fields of trade, investment, energy, and socio-cultural.

"I want to convey four things, first related to trade cooperation. Thank God the CEPA negotiations have been completed and the United Arab Emirates is the first Middle Eastern country to have CEPA cooperation with Indonesia," Jokowi said as quoted by ANTARA.
The President also welcomed the payment system cooperation between Indonesia's central bank and the PEA central bank, as well as cooperation in the construction of a dock platform (LPD) for the UAE navy by PT PAL Indonesia.
"I am sure all of this will provide positive benefits for the trade between the two countries," said Jokowi.
