DPD Proposes Asta Cita Prabowo-Gibran To Be The Material For The PPHN Formula

Deputy Chairman of the DPD Sultan B Najamuddin proposed the MPR to make Asta Cita president and vice president elected, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka as material in the Principles of State Policy (PPHN) 2024-2029.

According to him, this is so that the formulation of PPHN does not overlap with the vision and mission of the elected president.

"MPR needs to determine the vision of the elected president to become a PPHN which will serve as a national development guideline for one period. So that there is no policy bias that interferes with the future government performance," Sultan told reporters, Wednesday, July 17. Sultan assessed that the suitability of PPHN with the vision or promise of the elected presidential campaign would improve the quality of budget preparation and supervision by the DPR and DPD. Because, he said, it had begun with careful and efficient planning between the government and the DPR.

"After the election, Asta Cita is no longer the vision of a Prabowo president who is synonymous with the number eight. However, it has become a national mission that must be designated as a national development agenda through PPHN," said the former Bengkulu deputy governor.

Menurut Sultan, penyesuaian rumusan PPHN dengan Asta Cita bukan saja karena terdapat relevansi dan urgensi dalam agenda pembangunan nasional. Namun juga karena adanya kesinambungan dengan Visi Nawa Cita presiden Joko Widodo (Jokowi) selama satu dekade terakhir.

"Eight of the Asta Cita Prabowo-Gibran program is very inclusive, comprehensive and visionary," he said. Sultan believes that the Asta Cita program, which is aged in the eradication of the food system, creative economy, national defense, and food self-sufficiency, is a necessity for the community. "We are optimistic that Asta Cita will be able to answer global challenges, and what is needed by the community in general," he said.
