Bus Transport 60 Workers Overturned Until Standing Closed Barcelona Tunnel, 15 Injured

JAKARTA - A single accident involving a bus carrying 60 textile workers occurred in a tunnel in the coastal city of Pineda de Mar, Barcelona. The bus had rolled over until it stood closing the entrance to the tunnel.

Citing Metro.co.uk, the incident that occurred on Tuesday, July 16 this morning left 15 passengers injured.

After the collision, the bus driver bound for Tirdera came out to help passengers trapped in a bus that stood diagonal in front of the entrance to the tunnel.

Photographs circulating on other social media show a passenger lying on the asphalt, while others squatting nearby.

Catalan authorities said about 14 medical vehicles were deployed to the scene, including two medical helicopters.

It is not yet known why the bus capsized until it landed right in front of the entrance to the tunnel.

However, this accident caused a long traffic jam in vehicles heading north because access was closed.

Police implemented traffic engineering to avoid vehicles passing through the scene by diverting them to the Calella 122 exit.
