Secretary General Of Gerindra: Prabowo Needs Time To Decide On Jakarta Cagub

JAKARTA - The Gerindra Party has named the names of candidates for governor and deputy governor candidates who will fight in the 2024 Pilkada in a number of regions.

However, specifically for the Jakarta PILGUB, Secretary General of the Gerindra Party, Ahmad Muzani, said that the General Chairperson of Prabowo Subianto needed time to decide on one name.

"Once again, Jakarta is one that needs a little time for Pak Prabowo to conduct a study, deepening from the growing views in society," said Muzani, Tuesday, July 16.

Muzani revealed that Prabowo needed to discuss with a number of figures and the head of political parties at the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) to consider who would be promoted in the Jakarta gubernatorial election.

"Because Jakarta is an area that is also considered an economic city, so he needs a good view from KIM or even from community leaders, including religious leaders," he said.

When asked about Prabowo taking time to lobby political parties outside of KIM, Muzani said the Pilkada needed the cooperation of many parties.

"Essentially, once again, this regional election must show togetherness even in differences. This regional election must show that Indonesia has different choices and that is what Prabowo wants to show," explained Muzani.

"So if we are different about how togetherness we build together. If we are not in the same political choice, of course we cannot be forced to be the same," he concluded.
