Jusuf Hamka Proposes To Make The Sudirman-Hi Homecoming Flyover Unravel Jakarta Congestion, PKS: Impressed To Make It Easy

JAKARTA - Secretary of the PKS Faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, M. Taufik Zoelkifli, responded to Jusuf Hamka's suggestion about efforts to unravel congestion in Jakarta by building an overpass or flyover from Jalan Jenderal Sudirman to the HI Roundabout.

This was previously disclosed by Jusuf Hamka when asked for his response by the Golkar Party, which is now eyeing the toll road entrepreneur to run for the DKI Jakarta Pilkada. Golkar opened the discourse of Jusuf paired with Kaesang Pangarep.

Based on the proposed flyover, Taufik assessed that Jusuf Hamka did not understand the ins and outs of the Jakarta regional budget (APBD). Jusuf said that the DKI APBD reached Rp. 96 trillion, so that Jakarta has a budget for flyover development. In fact, the nominal budget is not that big.

"The DKI APBD said Rp. 96 trillion. Not Rp. 96 trillion was the latest, but Rp. 83 trillion. Indeed, it seems that Mr. Jusuf Hamka has made it easy. But I think it's legal if you really want to make a dream or plan if you become governor or deputy governor for Jakarta," Taufik told reporters, Tuesday, July 16.

Taufik said Jusuf also had no experience being a public official. The ideas revealed by Jusuf regarding various solutions to Jakarta's problems in the field of education and transportation, according to him, had also been carried out by previous governors.

So, if Jusuf intends to run as a cagub-cawagub in the Jakarta gubernatorial election, Taufik asks Jusuf to finalize his ideas in carrying out development.

"We recommend that later use the correct data and facts, so that later they can be compared, later the residents can see who has a good idea and tread," he said.

Previously, Jusuf Hamka said that he was asked to meet with the General Chair of the Golkar Party, Airlangga Hartarto, on Thursday, July 11. Airlangga asked Jusuf to convey the idea of solving the classic Jakarta problems such as floods and traffic jams.

"I said 'Sir, in my opinion, let's compare it from Semanggi, Sahid Hotel in front, we want to go to Jalan Thamrin, it's at the Bunderan Hotel Indonesia we can be stuck 30 minutes, 40 minutes," explained Jusuf, telling the conversation with Airlangga, Saturday, July 13.

"How come it doesn't drain energy, drain fuel, drain energy, are tired. Sometimes I want my parents to go to the bathroom or what it can get stuck there. Why don't they build a flyover?" he continued.

According to Jusuf, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government can assign one of the regional-owned enterprises (BUMD) to build the flyover.

"There is no need to destroy beauty. The road is still there. Can the flyover, the BUMD can be assigned to build a toll road because the APBD is Rp. 96 trillion, more than enough I said. I told him that," he explained.
