2 Days Lost, Victim Drowning In Cisauk Tangerang Found Dead

TANGERANG - The joint SAR team from the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Tangerang Regency, Banten, managed to find the bodies of the drowned victims in the Lake Project Citra area, Cisauk District on Tuesday, July 16 in the morning.

Head of BPBD Tangerang Regency, Ujat Sudrajat, in Tangerang, said that the body of the drowning victim named Ripai (23), a resident of Cisauk Kaler, Situgadung, Pagedangan District, was found by officers at 04.00 WIB.

"While officers were combing the location around the crime scene, it was found that the victim drowned floating in the middle of the lake where when the victim was found the victim was dead," he said.

He said the SAR team immediately evacuated the victim using a body bag and then taken him to the nearest hospital for examination. Furthermore, it was handed over to the family for burial.

"After being evacuated, further examination was carried out by the South Tangerang Police Inafis. The victim was taken to the Tangerang Hospital, then taken to the victim's residence in Malingping Lebak where it was handed over to the family," he said.

Previously, since Sunday, July 14 at around 16.00 WIB, the victim of Ripai was declared missing while fishing with two of her colleagues in the Citra project lake.

"The information is that the victim was fishing and swimming. However, before the incident, the statements of the two witnesses had prohibited the victim (floating). But the victim was still determined to walk alone to the edge across the lake," he said.

Then, when he found out that the victim was swimming and headed to the middle of the lake, suddenly the victim was not visible to the surface.

"The victim was seen swimming into the middle of the lake, but he was no longer visible to the surface and the witness could only witness that his friend was drowning because he did not dare to help," he said.

In this case, Ujat said, the search team was divided into two to conduct searches in two areas. The first team conducted a sweep using a rubber boat along the lake.

While the second team did a dive to comb the bottom of the lake.

"The SAR search operation is carried out by sweeping techniques, diving and blending techniques," he said.
