GBK Stadium Will Enter PSN List, Sandiaga Proposes Electric Vehicles That Can Pass

JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno revealed that the plan for the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium (GBK) will be included in the list of national strategic projects (PSN) for sports to international music entertainment.

"Later, by being integrated under a PSN, several supporting facilities will also be built for sports, for entertainment. And most importantly to maintain comfort and order, as well as security in more than 200 hectares of the GBK area," said Sandiaga Uno as quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, July 14.

He added that President Joko Widodo had ordered his party to review what could be built, and what kind of incentives could be given to the GBK Stadium.

Along with the plan, Sandi wants the GBK Stadium area to be sterile (free) from non-electric vehicles, as is currently in effect at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII).

"It was pushed like TMII. TMII used to be managed separately, now integrated management has been brought by SOEs. And the benefits are very beneficial, for example at TMII there were no more non-electric vehicles. Well, here there are still some vehicles," said Sandiaga.

Previously, the Head of the GBK PP Marketing and Sales Division, Sri Lestari Puji Astuti, said that the GBK Management Center (PP) supports the creative industry to support tourism more in Indonesia.

Even though it is included in the PSN list, according to him, the GBK Stadium will continue to return to its dignity as a sports arena used for the national football team.

"Actually, the development of the GBK Stadium is a means of sports and assets belonging to the government. In the process of managing it, we prioritize the national team. In this case, we practice and carry out activities," said Sri Lestari.

From the occupancy of the use of the GBK Stadium, he explained that its use was still dominated by the use of sports facilities. Based on PP GBK data on December 31, 2021, the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium area, Senayan, Jakarta is estimated to have an asset value of IDR 348.11 trillion

These assets are in the form of land area of 279.08 hectares with a sports area of 150.18 hectares or 52.83 percent of the asset value. Then the commercial area is 68.37 hectares with a percentage of 23.67 percent of the asset value. Then the government area with an area of 60.53 hectares with a percentage of 23.50 percent of the asset value.
