Golkar's Proposal Regarding The Kaesang-Jusuf Hamka Duet Is Considered Careless

Political communication observer at Esa Unggul University, Jamiluddin Ritonga, assessed that Golkar's proposal to pair PSI General Chair, Kaesang Pangarep with the toll road boss, Jusuf Hamka in the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election was very careless. According to Jamiluddin, the proposed duet for Kaesang-Jusuf Hamka was also impressed as long as Mr. Happy (ABS).

"Ceroboh, because Kaesang is a person who does not have the achievements and experience to take care of Jakarta, whose problems are very complex. His capacity is not yet feasible to be governor, especially in Jakarta," said Jamiluddin in Jakarta, Saturday, July 13.

"The more careless, because Jusuf Hamka wants to be a candidate for deputy governor to accompany Kaesang. In fact, everyone knows Jusuf Hamka is a successful businessman who already has a lot of experience and achievements," he continued.

Therefore, continued Jamiluddin, the desire of the General Chairperson of Golkar Airlangga Hartarto to make Jusuf Hamka his cawagub Kaesang is very counterlogic. "It is not clear what logic Airlangga used in discussing the Kaesang-Jusuf Hamka duet," he said.

Meanwhile, said Jamiluddin, the duet between Kaesang and Jusuf Hamka who is familiarly called Babah Alun also seemed to be ABS. ABS because the discourse of encouraging Kaesang to run for the Jakarta gubernatorial election seemed only to please Joko Widodo (Jokowi). "Airlangga seemed to want to show the most leadership in carrying Jokowi's family," he said. Just like when the nomination of Gibran Rakabuming Raka as a vice presidential candidate, Golkar became the first political party to carry the mayor of Solo. Even though at that time, Gibran was still a PDIP cadre. Likewise with Bobby Nasution who ran in the North Sumatra Pilgub.

"This was also shown by Airlangga when he wanted to carry Gibran Rakabuming and Bobby Nasution. Airlangga seemed to immediately show his respect when it came to Jokowi's family," he explained.

But unfortunately, Jamiluddin added, Airlangga actually put his cadres first and put Jokowi's family first. Even though Golkar has been known to have many qualified cadres and is very worthy of being governor.

"So, Airlangga seems to put Jokowi's family first rather than his cadres. Even though Jokowi's family is not a Golkar cadre, this is certainly ironic," he concluded.
