Jambi City Government Pays Compensation Of IDR 1.7 Billion To Heirs Of 212 SDN Land

JAMBI - The Jambi City Government paid compensation for the 212 SDN land worth Rp1.7 billion to the heirs whose funds were deposited through the court. Jambi City Secretariat Assistant I Fahmi said the Jambi City Government had agreed with the heirs' families in front of the Jambi District Court Chair to implement the Supreme Court (MA) decision. "We paid Rp1.7 billion with the system entrusted to the Court," said Fahmi in Jambi, Antara, Friday, July 12. He explained that further adjustments would be made to the measurement of the land according to the Supreme Court's decision covering an area of 3,576 square meters. After the certificate is issued by the National Land Agency (BPN), then the compensation money deposited in the Court will be handed over to the heirs. "After the statement is made, the school will be opened by the heirs' families," he said. Previously, it was reported that the land owner of SDN 212 Jambi City sealed the school so that teaching and learning activities could not be carried out in schools. The heirs asked the government to compensate for the land used by SDN 212. During the sealed school, students were forced to be relocated to SD Negeri 206 Jambi City for teaching and learning activities. The relocation of teaching and learning activities lasted for one semester. The Jambi City Government has previously guaranteed to resolve this problem as soon as possible so that during the new school year the building can be occupied. Meanwhile, the process of accepting new students for the 2024/2025 school year at SD 212 some time ago continues. The school had opened a PPDB reception post in front of the school gate.

The attorney for the heirs of the land owner Ihsan said that after this agreement was made, the previously closed SDN 212 would be reopened and allowed to carry out teaching and learning activities.
