Ahead Of The Malindo Sosek Forum, The Provincial Government For The Finalization Of Work Papers

TANJUNG SELOR - Provincial Government (Pemprov) of North Kalimantan (Kaltara) completed preparations or Finalization of Work Paper Preparation to be discussed at the 2024 Malaysia-Indonesia Socio-Economic Forum (Sosek Malindo) which will be held on July 16' 19 in Balikpapan City, East Kalimantan.

Assistant for Government and Welfare of the Regional Secretariat of Kaltara, Datu Iqro Ramadhan, said that the two countries would later provide input to each other as outlined on work papers.

"There will be things that are agreed upon and not agreed upon or dropped, in the formulation of work papers and the core of our work is in the agreement," said KK Chairman Sosek Kaltara Datu Iqro Ramadhan, Thursday, July 12.

Work papers during the finalization to agree on the results of the previous meeting as discussed in the cities of Pahang Malaysia and Yogyakarta, some time ago.

"All Working Paper Preparation Groups (KK) 1, 2 and 3 when the Malindo Sosek is implemented will not be allowed to speak except for the Delegation Chair," he said.

Therefore, the preparation of work papers by each group is very important, the results of the work papers will be submitted by the delegation.

"So the one who spoke was the result of a meeting from the work paper, so we didn't deviate from the working paper group 1, 2 and 3," he said.

Some of the issues that will be discussed by the two countries include the problem of flooding on the banks of the asymptomatic river, access to the 708 Serudong border road, in line with Sabah Kaltara, investment in seaweed, to proposals for the construction of a post with the Republic of Indonesia Malaysia.

"We have evaluated the readiness, other positive things that we can take from Sosek Malindo, such as the opening of the Tawau 'Tarakan route, used to be closed but now it's open," he said.
