JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo inaugurated 16 sections of the Regional Road Inpres (IJD) which have been built in Lampung Province.

"Today we inaugurate 16 sections of the Regional Road Inpres in all Lampung Province," said President Jokowi when inaugurating the Keramat Teluk-Sri Widodo road section, reported by ANTARA, Thursday, July 11.

Jokowi said the 16 IJD sections were in 11 districts in Lampung Province.

"The length of roads inaugurated today is in 11 districts in Lampung Province along 102 kilometers. Including the road that we are currently in Jagang Village, Blambangan Pagar District, North Lampung Regency," he said.

The President explained that the financing issued by the government to repair the 16 roads in Lampung Province was worth Rp806.2 billion.

"We know that this is a production road and will accelerate the transportation of goods mobility or people passing through here. Although there were still one to two potholes along the road, but it has been smooth. This little hole will be repaired now and this afternoon I inaugurate the Regional Road Inpres," said Jokowi as well.

Adanya perbaikan ruas jalan tersebut mendapat respons positif dari salah satu warga setempat, Wahyu.

"It's nice that the road is smooth, so when transporting grass for livestock from the garden, access is not difficult," said Wahyu.

With the ease of access to road infrastructure, it can increase agricultural productivity in the village.

"If the road is good, it will definitely be faster to send various agricultural production products from the village out," he said.

The road section, which was inaugurated by President Jokowi today, precisely the Keramat Teluk-Sri Widodo road in North Lampung Regency has a length of 6 kilometers. The costs incurred for repairing the road infrastructure through the IJD funds amounted to Rp36.2 billion.

Prior to a working visit to North Lampung Regency, President Jokowi visited South Lampung Regency.
