BANDUNG - Regional Secretary (Sekda) of West Java Province (Jabar) Herman Suryatman stated that his party will conduct examinations of various government applications that have an eccentric tone so as not to cause unrest. This was revealed by Herman in connection with his viral on social media regarding the name of an application made by the regional government (Pemda) that was eccentric, and even contained negative connotations, including in West Java recently. "I will check the retail again, because there should be appropriateness and propriety," said Herman in Bandung, Antara, Wednesday, July 10. Moreover, said Herman, there was a request from President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) some time ago so that local governments, including West Java, don't make too many applications and take advantage of existing platforms. In addition to budget efficiency, he said, it is also hoped that people will not be confused because there are too many applications to get government services. Finally, the West Java Provincial Government is also committed to braking the manufacture of applications. "What is clear is that according to the policies of the central government, according to the Governor's commitment, there is no additional application but more utilizing, customizing existing applications," said Herman. And regarding the naming of applications with negative connotations, Herman emphasized that he would conduct an evaluation to reduce this problem. The application is considered to have negative connotations, because it is associated with the mention of human reproductive devices in regional languages, especially Sumatra.

Then, the SiPedo application belonging to Sumedang Regency, which stands for the Online Database Based Training System, which in Sundanese means a good statement to food or food. Finally, Sicantik, an application made by the Bogor Regency Government (Pemkab), is an acronym for the Presence and Performance Information System.
