'Emak-emak' Support Rizieq Shihab Maksa Entering East Jakarta District Court

JAKARTA - The crowd of supporters of Habib Rizieq Shihab continued to arrive at the East Jakarta District Court, Friday, March 19, from all over. The security forces also took precautions against the masses who were dominated by mothers.

Even the security guards blocked them far from the gate of the East Jakarta District Court. The officers had an argument with the pro Rizieq Shihab crowd.

"Please come back, ma'am, there is no defendant in the trial here. So you should go home," said the officer, raising his hand.

However, the mass of these women still wanted to go inside. They want to see first hand the proceedings.

"Why is this like this, said the rule of law, the trial is open to the public. Why can't it be ?," said the unnamed women.

"Yes ma'am, I'm sorry. Please come back," said the officer.

It is known that the security of the East Jakarta District Court Building ahead of Habib Rizieq Shihab's trial, Friday, March 19, has been tighter compared to the previous trial.

Based on VOI monitoring, this extra security can be seen with multiple guards. Where thousands of police are deployed to secure trial today.

At the outermost layer, hundreds of personnel from the TNI and Polri were on alert. They lined up right at the East Jakarta District Court building.

Then, the second layer is barbed wire which also surrounds the courthouse. In fact, at the court gate dozens of police personnel were on guard.

Finally, security on the inside of the court. Two K-9 dogs were deployed. From this security scheme, not everyone can enter the court environment.
