JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has signed Presidential Decree (Keppres) Number 73P dated July 9, 2024 regarding the dishonorable dismissal of Hasyim Asy'ari as a member of the Indonesian General Elections Commission (KPU).
This was conveyed by the Special Staff Coordinator of President Ari Dwipayana via text message to reporters in Jakarta, Wednesday, July 19.
"The president has signed Presidential Decree No. 73P dated July 9, 2024, regarding the dishonorable dismissal of Hasyim Asy'ari as a member of the KPU for the term of office in 2022-2027," said Ari Dwipayana.

He said the signing and issuance of the Presidential Decree followed up on the Decision of the Honorary Council of Election Organizers (DKPP) RI and in accordance with Law Number 7 of 2017 concerning General Elections.
