Depok Dapil DPR Member Encourages Ministry Of Religion-City Government To Provide Solutions To The Problem Of The HKI Church Threatened To Disappear In UIII Land

JAKARTA - Members of the DPR from the electoral districts (dapil) of Bekasi City and Depok City, Intan Fauzi also highlighted the issue of eviction of the HKI Juanda Church on the campus land of the Indonesian International Islamic University (UIII). Intan assessed that there must be a solution from the Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) as the owner of UIII land and the Depok City Government as the permit for building construction. "At that time the house of worship had permission, the IMB was the Regency Government (if) looking from the land, right. That means of course we are not (religious, red), this is talking about buildings that stand on the Ministry of Religion holding land that feel entitled to be part of UIII," said Intan when met by VOI in Jakarta, Monday, July 8. "At the time the building was established, of course there was a permit. So in fact, this is between the ownership of the Ministry of Religion and the Depok city government which issued the permit," he continued. According to Intan, the Depok City Government can help resolve the issue of the HKI Juanda Church by communicating with the Ministry of Religion. "The IMB exists? (If there is, red) That must be helped. This is the same as the government, right, so I think there must be a solution," he said.

Selain pihak Gereja HKI Juanda dan Rektorat UIII, Intan menilai, Kemenag dan Pemkot Depok juga harus duduk bersama memutuskan persoalan ini. "Menurut saya, pemilikan lahan Kemenag, kemudian pemkot IMB-nya. Kalau mendudukkan persoalan sesuai aturan yasudah itu yang menjadi keputusan," tambahnya. Kendati demikian, Intan mengimbau agar permasalahan tersebut tidak dikait-kaitkan dengan isi agama. Apalagi menurut informasi, sudah ada penggusuran untuk sejumlah bangunan di atas lahan UIII. "Kita kembalikan, jangan dibawa kepada sentimen negatif. Jangan jadi isu SARA, tapi kita dudukan persoalannya kembali kepada aturan lahan, ini kepemilikannya siapa, IMB-nya diterbitkan, mungkin itu, kita kan bicara aturan," tandasnya.
