After The Crime Scene, Police Investigate The Cause Of Youth Death In Malang

The Malang Resort Police, East Java Police conducted an intensive investigation into the death of a young man with the initials SR (19) at his home in Gondanglegi District.

Kasihumas Malang Police, Ipda Dicka Ermantara confirmed the incident and stated that the identification team from the Gondanglegi Police Criminal Investigation Unit had conducted a crime scene investigation.

"We received a report that a young man died in a house in Gondanglegi District, which was found to be in a stiff state," he said, quoting Antara.

According to his statement, the discovery of SR's body began when his mother found his son in a supine position in the living room.

Initially, the mother thought SR was sleeping so she didn't wake her up. However, at around 15.00 WIB, he tried to wake up SR to eat. How surprised he was when he found SR's body was stiff and not breathing.

With feelings of panic, the victim's mother immediately called neighbors to ask for help. This finding was then reported to local residents and forwarded to the Gondanglegi Police.

"Officers who received the report immediately processed the crime scene and collected evidence and clues," said Dicka.

The results of the initial examination at the scene showed no signs of violence or abuse on SR's body. However, the young man's right eye was found.

To determine the cause of death, the police evacuated the victim's body to Saiful Anwar Hospital in Malang City for an autopsy.

"We are still waiting for the results of the autopsy for further investigation," said Dicka.

Dicka said that his party was still conducting an investigation to determine whether there was an element of a criminal act in this case.

"Still investigating, yes, we are trying to reveal whether there is a criminal act in this case," he said.
