Kak Seto Calls The Suspected Perpetrator Of Sexual Abuse Of Dozens Of Children In Tangsel Can Be Sentenced Even Though He Is 13 Years Old

TANGERANG - Chairman of the Indonesian Child Protection Agency (LPAI) Seto Mulyadi alias Kak Seto said he would monitor cases of violence and obscenity allegedly committed by a man with the initials MF (13) against dozens of minors in the Cisauk area, Tangerang Regency.

Seto assessed that even though the reported or suspected perpetrator was 13 years old, he could still be criminally charged because he was over 12 years old.

"We are also coordinating to be able to monitor this, meaning how, because it is over 12 years old, it is possible for a child justice system law to exist," said Seto when confirmed, Friday, July 5.

Nevertheless, Kak Seto revealed that although the alleged perpetrator could be convicted. However, he also had to get assistance in the case of alleged violence and obscenity.

"Because the perpetrator is still a child, there must be assistance, from the Ministry of Social Affairs, Social Workers will assist him to remain child-friendly, take his actions, it cannot be justified, do not repeat his actions again," he said.

Therefore, he asked the police to thoroughly investigate the case so that there would be no more similar incidents.

"Yes, I am investigating thoroughly, besides that, I ask for attention from the agencies related to the Social Service, Health, PPA Service to be able to approach and treat each other professionally," said Kak Seto.
