Megawati: PDI Perjuangan Is Still A News Magnet

Chairman of the PDI-P (PDIP) Megawati Soekarnoputri said that her party is still a news magnet by the media crew. This was conveyed by Megawati in her speech before PDIP cadres at the Party School, Lenteng Agung, South Jakarta, Friday, July 5. Initially, the 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia greeted dozens of journalists who were present covering the event. This event was in the form of Megawati's speech as well as taking the oath of oath of office for the PDIP DPP board for the 2019-2024 term of service to be extended until 2025. "The press partners who I thank are thousands. I noticed that if there is an event at the PDI-P, how come the media is always lively," Megawati said opening her speech as quoted by Antara. After that, dozens of PDIP cadres, including presidential candidate for the 2024 presidential election Ganjar Pranowo, PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto and PDIP DPP ranks applauded. According to Megawati, the crowds of journalists present at every PDIP event proved that their party was still a news magnet. "What does that mean, we remain a magnet, a news magnet," he said. In addition, he also admitted that he had been intercepted by reporters when he had just arrived at the Party School.

However, he only smiled and waved to the media crew because the show had not yet started.
