JAKARTA - The Salemba Class IIA Correctional Institution (Lapas) together with Budi Luhur University provided training on the boga system and making flower bouquets for 19 Inmates who participated in the Social Rehabilitation program. This training took place at the Salemba Prison Learning Griya.

The head of the Class IIA Salemba Prison, Beni Hidayat, hopes that the participants can take advantage of this opportunity as best they can. "This valuable opportunity should not be wasted. Use this knowledge and skills as valuable provision after completing a criminal period and bring hope for a better future where the inmates can become productive members in society after going through a meaningful rehabilitation process," said Beni Hidayat recently.

Siti Asri Widadi, the chief executive of Student Universitas Budi Luhur, emphasized the importance of joint support in developing skills for the Inmates. "Thank you to the Salemba Prison for facilitating us to carry out the task of the Indonesian prison sociology study here. This activity is really memorable, has new experiences, and meets the inmates who are so friendly and compact. Most importantly, this activity can apply training knowledge to entrepreneurship after being released later," said Siti Asri Widadi.

This training aims not only to provide skills, but also to build self-confidence and strengthen hopes for a brighter future for the inmates.

With this initiative, it is hoped that the Inmates can take advantage of the skills they get to be entrepreneurs and become productive members of society after the rehabilitation period.
