JAKARTA - The Central Jakarta Health Sub-dept. (Sudinkes) office located on Jalan Percetakan Negara, RT 02/03, Rawasari Village, Cempaka Putih District, Central Jakarta, caught fire, Thursday, July 4, early in the morning.

"The fire was successfully extinguished at 02.40 WIB. The object that caught fire was the TU room or archive," said Head of Central Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Asril Rizal when confirmed, Thursday, July 4, morning.

The process of extinguishing the fire has been carried out since 01.38 WIB. A total of 6 fire engines with 24 personnel were deployed to the location of the fire.

"It is suspected that the cause was an electrical short circuit. The area of the burned area was 8x10 meters," he said.

The beginning of the fire incident was discovered when traders around the Health Sub-dept. office saw a puff of smoke. The merchant then reported it to the Johar Baru sector fire post.

"Alhamdulillah, there were no victims in this incident. The loss is estimated at IDR 20 million," he said.
