KPK Transports Evidence From The Head Of PUPR Service With Cases In West Bandung

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) searched four different locations in West Bandung and found evidence, including electronic evidence.

This search was carried out to investigate cases of suspected corruption in the procurement of emergency response goods for the COVID-19 pandemic at the Social Service for the Regional Government of West Bandung Regency in 2020.

"At the four locations, evidence was found and secured including various documents and electronic evidence", said KPK spokesman for the field of prosecution Ali Fikri in a written statement, Thursday, March 18.

The four locations that were searched were the PUPR Office of West Bandung Regency, the Office of CV BP (Bintang Pamungkas) in Lembang, West Bandung Regency, CV SSGC (Sentral Vegetable Garden City) in Lembang, West Bandung Regency, and the residence of parties related to the case.

Regarding the residence being searched, Ali did not give any details. Because, until now the suspect in the case has not been announced to the public.

"Then all evidence will be validated and verified for confiscation to complete the case files for the investigation of the case in question", he said.

Previously reported, the KPK was investigating the alleged corruption case at the West Bandung Social Service. This investigation was carried out about allegations of corruption in the procurement of emergency response goods for the COVID-19 pandemic that occurred in 2020.

However, the KPK has not publicly provided a complete description of this case as well as the party designated as a suspect.

Because, according to the provisions during the leadership of Firli Bahuri, cs, the announcement of the suspect will be made when KPK investigators have made attempts to force the arrest or detention of the suspect.

Also, the suspect's announcement and case construction have not been announced because investigators are still completing their work.
