President Director Of PT Kreasi Global Becomes A Suspect In The Batang Sea Port Facility Corruption Case

The Batang District Attorney (Kejari), Central Java, has named a suspect in the alleged corruption case of further work in the construction of the Batang sea port facility which cost the state around Rp12 billion. The head of the Batang District Attorney's Office, Efi Paulin Numberi, said that his party had detained the President Director of PT Kreasi Global Arie Syahrial as a consultant supervisor of further work on the construction of the Batang sea port facility as a suspect. "In that case, the suspect harmed the 2015 State Budget funds of up to Rp12 billion due to lack of maximum supervision," he said in Batang, Antara, Wednesday, July 3. It was also said that the suspect Arie Syahrial had been examined and detained based on the Detention Order Number: PRINT/M.3.40/Fd.1/07/2024 dated July 2, 2024. The suspect is undergoing detention starting from July 2, 2024 to July 21, 2024 at the Class II B Batang Penitentiary. The role of the suspect in the corruption crime, he said, as the President Director of PT Kreasi Global Consultant as a supervisory consulting service provider or supervisory consultant did not mobilize personnel as in the contract Number: PL.106/1/1/UPP.Btg.2015 dated August 20, 2015, namely quality work, quality engineer, and inspector. Efi Paulin revealed that the suspect did not carry out his proper supervisory role, resulting in an overpayment of the direct costs of the supervisory consultant personnel which became a state financial loss of Rp. 151.66 billion. "This is because the number of field supervisors that should be six people turns out to be only one person," he said. Akibat pengawasan yang dilakukan tersangka tersebut tidak optimal, lanjut Efi Paulin, menyebabkan pekerjaan konstruksi terjadi perubahan metode kerja dan kekurangan volume. This condition, he said, resulted in state losses of Rp. 12,552 billion based on the calculation of Public Accountant Consultant Helianto and Semarang Branch Partner.

"That in this corruption crime, we have first tried two defendants who are currently undergoing legal proceedings, namely Haryani as PPK with a sentence of 8 years and 6 months and Moh Syiahbudin as the executor of the work with imprisonment for 9 years and 6 months," he said.
