SEMARANG - The government needs to increase human resources (HR) to accelerate stunting data collection so that stunting reduction targets can be achieved.

These challenges include registering stunting cases, especially to include (input) findings in the field.

Expert Staff to the Minister of Human Development and Culture (PMK) for Sustainable Development, Agus Suprapto, said that stunting data collection was carried out referring to the recording of electronic-based Community Nutrition Reporting (e-PPGBM). "Yes, the measurement through e-PPGBM is carried out during June. So, during that month, apart from measuring and balancing, the data must also be inputted. Now for input, it takes time, it takes energy to also input," said Agus in Semarang on Friday night.

Launching ANTARA, Saturday, June 29, Agus said the data collection was carried out starting from the posyandu level, then reported to the Village/kelurahan Village Stunting Reduction Acceleration Team (TPPS), then to districts, provinces until reported to the center.

Therefore, said Agus, his party still needs about a week to wait for input for e-PPGBM.

"Well, all regions are regulated by human resources who handle data input. Therefore, so measurement and intervention. Now maybe there are about a week of waiting for areas that have not been completed in the input," said Agus.

Agus asked all regional apparatus responsible for the data collection to maximize data input within the next one week.

"So it is hoped that all regions can maximally input data that has been measured and balanced," said Agus. In addition, he continued, the existing posyandus could also help each other with local government monitoring related to supporting infrastructure.

"If one posyandu currently has done (input data), then the next day we can help to the posyandu, which still has problems. But what is clear is that the regions have made efforts to carry out governance so that this implementation can be optimal," said Agus.

Agus continued, as of Friday (28/6) night, 89 percent of the data had entered the e-PPGBM and it is likely that today, Saturday, it will reach 90 percent.

"Until now, until now the position is around 89 percent. Hopefully tomorrow it can be 90 percent, hopefully yes. We'll see what the results of the calculation will be, we'll see what the progress will be," said Agus.

Regarding the stunting reduction target to 14 percent by the end of 2024, the government is still working and collaborating across sectors to realize the stunting target. "Until now, the government is trying hard, including what was conveyed by the Head of BKKBN, meaning coordination and collaboration of all government sectors, at least 19 ministries of institutions must work together to develop the program," said Agus. Yes, we also want the results to be in accordance with the facts in the field. So we are trying to verify and validate," said Agus.

It is known from the results of the Indonesian Health Survey (SKI) that Indonesia's stunting rate is now at 21.5 percent. However, the government is still doing the e-PPGBM to find out more real data collection.
