Gas Cylinder Explodes, Journalist And Family In Karo North Sumatra Burnt

KARO - North Sumatra Police deployed a team of Forensic and Identification Laboratorys to conduct a crime scene (TKP) of a fire that hit a local journalist's house in the Nambung Surbakti area, Kabanjahe District, Karo Regency, North Sumatra (North Sumatra) on Thursday, June 27 afternoon.

The cause of the fire that killed a journalist and his wife, children and grandchildren is still under investigation by the police.

The four victims who died in the fire incident were Perfect Pasaribu (47) a local journalist, Efrida (48) the wife of Perfect Pasaribu, Sudi Invesiti Pasaribu (12) a perfect child, and Lowi Situngkir (3) a perfect grandson.

The bodies of the four fire victims have been autopsied at the Bhayangkara Hospital in Medan for further investigation.

Head of Public Relations of the North Sumatra Regional Police, Kombes Hadi Wahyudi, said the fire was discovered by residents around the location at around 03.30 WIB.

Residents around the location along with firefighters from the Karo Regency government who got off at the fire site tried to extinguish the blaze.

Hadi also said that from the results of the crime scene conducted by the police, they found a burning LPG gas cylinder.

According to witnesses, the burning house was also used as a grocery store that also sells gas cylinders and retail gasoline.

Marson Pasaribu, Perfect Pasaribu's younger brother, confirmed that his brother works as a local journalist in Karo Regency.
