Mastermind Of Cockfighting Gambling, Kahu Police Chief In Bone Fired

South Sulawesi (Sulsel) Provincial Police Chief Inspector General Andi Rian Djajadi removed a National Police official who served as Kahu Police Chief with the initials AKP EG who was strongly suspected of being involved in the practice of cockfighting gambling, in Bone Regency.

"I took out the decree last night, Kahu Police Chief, initials E. Because it was proven that there was a practice of cockfighting gambling. So this is based on reports from community leaders," said Kapolda Andi Rian, Tuesday, June 25.

The person concerned is currently being withdrawn to the South Sulawesi Regional Police to undergo an examination related to reporting, including evidence found by the team when conducting cross-checks in the local district.

"This is a report from a community leader who met me directly, then I ordered a team from the Regional Police to come down immediately to be checked, it turns out that it really exists," he said.

Apart from Bone Regency, other Polri officials are also suspected of being involved in cockfighting gambling at the North Toraja Regency Police, two people each occupying the position of Head of Unit or Head of Unit, namely Head of Intelligence and Head of Criminal Investigation Unit. Both have been removed from their positions.

"So while we are withdrawing it to the Regional Police (Kapolsek yangu) for examination. For North Toraja, it is being processed in Propam, because we will see later, what is the punishment. At least, as a member of the National Police it is disciplined, at least that," he asserted.

The Kapolda emphasized that in accordance with the orders of the leadership of the Chief of Police of the Republic of Indonesia (Kapolri) to take firm action against members of the National Police who are involved in violating the law to be handed down by heavy witnesses.

"This is an order from the National Police Chief, which means that it applies to all members of the National Police, valid for 480 thousand Polri personnel throughout Indonesia, without exception," said the former Head of the Police Propam Division again emphasizing.

The former South Kalimantan Police Chief stated that there was no compromise for members of the National Police who were involved in violating the law, including gambling, because at the beginning he had conveyed policies and appeals so that members should never get involved in gambling practices because the sanctions were firm.
