Zulhas Regarding The Proposal For The Kaesang-Zita Anjani Duet In Jakarta: It's OK With Discourse

JAKARTA - Chairman of the National Mandate Party (PAN) Zulkifli Hasan (Zulhas) said his party accommodated the proposed duet for Kaesang Pangarep and Zita Anjani in the 2024 Jakarta Regional Head Election (Pilkada).

Meanwhile, Kaesang is the General Chair of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI). Meanwhile, Zita is a PAN cadre and Deputy Chair of the DKI Jakarta DPRD.

"Yes, everything is fine," said Zulhas at the Jakarta Presidential Palace as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, June 25.

According to him, all proposals regarding the duet in the Jakarta Pilkada will be accommodated by the party bearing the sun symbol. This is at the same time in response to the question of the media crew whether Kaesang is more suitable for a duet with Ridwan Kamil or Zita Anjani.

"Yes, the name is a discourse, it's okay. It's called a proposal," said Zulhas.

Previously, the Chairman of the DPW PAN Jakarta Eko Hendro Purnomo or Eko Patrio said his party would prioritize providing support for the prospective governor candidate (cagub) supported by the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) in the 2024 Jakarta Pilkada.

Currently, according to him, Jakarta residents have a wide selection of candidates for Jakarta, ranging from Sohibul Iman, Ridwan Kamil, to Anies Baswedan. So he is still waiting for directions from KIM regarding the names that will be supported.

"We are still really liquid, yes, but maybe we will prioritize the KIM more, more to the Advanced Indonesia Coalition about where to go," said Eko.

Even so, according to him, PAN has decided to present the name Zita Anjani as a deputy governor candidate. According to him, the female politician is projected by PAN to be paired with anyone.

"Even better, Zita Anjani with Kaesang, Kaesang as her governor, Zita as her deputy governor, both young, complement each other, so make me attractive," he said.
