76 Students Passed The Selection Of Candidates For The Spread Of The 79th Anniversary Of The Republic Of Indonesia At IKN

JAKARTA - A total of 76 out of a total of 153,000 students in Indonesia have passed the recruitment stage and selection of prospective Pusaka Flag Raising Troops (Paskibraka) at the 2024 Central Level to be assigned to the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), East Kalimantan on August 17, 2024.

Deputy Head of the Indonesian Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP) Rima Agristina said the candidate for Paskibraka from high school and equivalent students had been recruited since March 2024 from 38 provinces representing 514 districts/cities.

"The total number of people who qualified to the national level consisted of men and sons each one pair from each province to be dispatched to IKN on August 10, 2024. They will be on duty during the 79th Indonesian Independence Day Ceremony," said Rima as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, June 25.

For prospective participants who do not pass the central level Paskibraka selection and recruitment process, Rima ensures that they are still assigned as Paskibraka officers at the provincial and district/city levels according to the weight of the assessment.

He said the results of the verification of the 2024 Central Paskibraka candidate had been submitted to all Provincial Level Selection Committees on Friday.

Risma, who is also the Director of the Paskibraka Program, ensured that the process of forming Paskibraka was carried out in stages.

Since the formation process at the district/city level, BPIP has monitored the implementation of recruitment and selection, so that it can be carried out according to the standards set by BPIP.

At the provincial level, the central level selection committee was present in 38 provinces, overseeing the implementation of recruitment and selection at the provincial level, both through technical guidance which had been carried out offline on 30-31 January 2024 in Jakarta, as well as technical instructions that had been submitted in writing.

To ensure the quality of the Central Paskibraka candidate, starting in 2024 the verification of the Central Paskibraka candidate will be carried out centrally in Jakarta.

"Based on the results of the selection at the provincial level, the selection committee carried out initial health checks on four people each with two pairs of Paskibraka candidates according to the highest ranking in the province," he said.

The results of the health check were then sent to the Central Committee for initial verification.

If from the results of the initial verification there are criteria for requirements that are not met, the candidate for Paskibraka will not pass to become a candidate for Paskibraka at the Central Level.

The Central Level Selection Committee then asked the Provincial Level Selection Committee to send a replacement candidate, namely the candidate with the rank below it at the provincial level for initial health checks.

Furthermore, Paskibraka candidates from each province, follow verification in Jakarta.

"Verification in Jakarta is carried out even more strictly with health checks involving specialist doctors and psychologists," he said.

The Central Level Selection Committee then held a final determination meeting to determine the elected candidate for Paskibraka from each province to be assigned to the central and reserve levels who will continue to serve in the province.
