Japanese Prime Minister (PM) Shigeru Ishiba supports Indonesia's efforts to obtain full membership in the Economic Cooperation and Development Organization (OECD) which currently consists of 38 countries from various regions.
Japan, which was fully membershipd in 1964, is the 21st OECD member and the first OECD member of the Asia Pacific region.
"(We) agreed to further enhance collaboration in the international arena, including accession Indonesia to become an OECD member," said PM Ishiba conveying the results of his meeting with President Prabowo Subianto at the Bogor Presidential Palace, Bogor City, West Java, Saturday.
PM Ishiba visited the Bogor Palace, Saturday, along with PM Yoshiko Ishiba's wife and the Japanese Government delegation to meet with President Prabowo. At the Bogor Palace, the arrival of PM Ishiba was greeted by a ceremony to welcome the troops, accompanied by a boom of honorary cannons.
