Police Arrest Truck Driver Lindas Wanita In Kendari To Death

The Kendari Police Traffic Unit, Southeast Sulawesi arrested a truck driver who ran over a woman riding a motorbike at the HaluOleo University Campus Crossroad in Lalolara Village, Kambu District, Kendari City, to death.

Head of the Law Enforcement Unit (Gakkum) of the Kendari Police Traffic Unit, Ipda Zainal, said the truck driver had the initials A, while the woman who was the victim was run over by the truck with the initials K (41).

"The incident occurred at the UHO Campus Crossroad, Jalan HE Mokodompit at around 10:45 WITA," said Zainal as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, June 24.

The traffic accident began when the motorcycle driven by the victim moved from the direction of the Tank Roundabout to the UHO Campus Crossroad, from the same direction there was also a truck driven by A.

At the crime scene (TKP), suddenly the truck hit the victim's motorbike until he fell and was immediately run over by the truck.

"After the incident, the victim was immediately rushed to the Kendari City Regional General Hospital (RSUD) for medical treatment," he said.

However, said Zainal, the victim, who is a resident of Pola Village, Pasir Putih District, Muna Regency, was declared dead at the Kendari City Hospital, at 13.30 WITA.

"The victim was immediately sent back to his village for burial," he said. The police have secured the truck driver at the Kendari Police Station for a valid legal process.

"We have secured the driver and truck," said Zainal.

Currently, his party is conducting an investigation regarding the incident that killed the woman.

"The driver is still being questioned regarding the traffic accident that killed the woman with the initials K," added Zainal.
