JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) said that on Monday, June 24, most of Indonesia risks rain with moderate to heavy intensity. Meanwhile, Jakarta is cloudy throughout the day.

"On Monday morning the rain hit Bangka Belitung, Banten, Gorontalo, East Java, South Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, and East Kalimantan," said BMKG as quoted by ANTARA.

The same warning will also occur in North Kalimantan, Maluku, North Maluku, Papua, West Papua, South Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, North Sulawesi, South Sumatra.

"West Sulawesi is expected to have heavy rain, and Aceh and East Nusa Tenggara are expected to have strong winds," said BMKG.

BMKG said Surabaya, Pekanbaru, Kupang and Padang are expected to be cloudy throughout the day. "Meanwhile, Yogyakarta and Palangkaraya are expected to be cloudy throughout the day," said BMKG.

On Monday afternoon, it is estimated that a number of cities will still experience light rain, namely Jambi, Pangkalpinang, Tanjung Pinang, Ambon, Jayapura, Manokwari, Mamuju, and Manado.

At the same time, Medan, Palembang, Kendari, Ternate, it is estimated that moderate rain and Banjarmasin are expected to rain thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, earlier this week, the weather conditions in Jakarta were generally cloudy to cloudy skies. In the morning, the weather conditions in Jakarta are generally cloudy, except in parts of West Jakarta which are predicted to be thick cloudy.

By noon, conditions began to be cloudy, especially in parts of Central Jakarta, East Jakarta, North Jakarta, and the Thousand Islands. Meanwhile, at night, the conditions are cloudy.
