"Under his leadership, PKS experienced a significant increase in votes and chairs," he said.
Mabruri said his party only garnered 8.46 million or 6.77 percent of the vote in the 2014 Legislative Election. However, this figure increased to 11.49 million or 8.21 percent in the 2019 Legislative Election.
"Or an increase from 40 seats in 2014 to 50 seats in 2019," said Mabruri.
"This means that he has proven leadership in bringing PKS up to class. He also has a long track in the political world. He was selected three times as a member of the DPR in the 2009-2014, 2014-2019, and 2024-2029 periods and had led the DPR RI as Deputy Speaker of the DPR," he continued.
In addition, Sohibul is referred to as a technocrat and a Muslim scholar. "Mr. Sohibul Iman is the right figure to lead Jakarta," explained Mabruri.
