Anies Baswedan To Sahroni Proposed By DPW NasDem Jakarta To Be Cagub

JAKARTA - The chairman of the NasDem Jakarta DPW, Wibi Andrino, revealed that there were three names proposed as Jakarta governors to the Chairman of Bappilu NasDem Prananda Surya Paloh. Their names are Anies Baswedan, Ahmad Sahroni and himself.

This was conveyed when he opened a consolidation event for the structure of the NasDem Party in the context of evaluating the 2024 General Election and strengthening the preparation structure for the Jakarta Regional Election, Sunday, June 23.

"The NasDem Party yesterday on June 5, DKI Jakarta DPW has provided recommendations. Recommendations to Bappilu. There are three names. The first is our former governor, our former governor Mr. Anies Rasyid Baswedan. Second, Mr. Ahmad Sahroni. The third is me," Wibi said in a speech at the NasDem State Defense Academy, Jakarta.

Wibi mentioned the name in the study process by the NasDem DPP. However, he is not really interested in advancing because he wants to be the leader of the Jakarta DPRD in the coming period.

"If I really don't have an interest, then I will get a seat led by the DPRD, do you want to run for governor? Later PAW, right," said Wibi.

Personally, Wibi prefers that Sahroni progress. However, the final decision is not only in NasDem's hands.

Wibi said NasDem needed cooperation with other parties to carry a candidate for governor. This is because the party created by Surya Paloh only has 11 seats in the Jakarta DPRD.

"The NasDem Party itself does not have enough seats. It requires 22 seats (to propose the name of the Governor, ed) in the DKI DPRD. Meanwhile, our party only has 11. So we are less than 11. You can't run for yourself," he said.

"Please maybe later these parties in Jakarta will see too. Are you interested in the three names proposed by the NasDem party," concluded Wibi.
