JAKARTA - A Florida man in the United States faces charges of serious theft in Broward County after a plane passenger scheduled to fly from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in March tracked down his stolen luggage to the man's home, according to a possible cause statement in the case.

Junior Geneus Bazile (29) of Fort Lauderdale has been charged with a third-degree serious theft.

It started when the victim, Paola Garcia, was scheduled to leave the airport on a Spirit Airlines flight on the evening of March 3, quoted from CNN June 20.

Garcia told CNN affiliate, WPLG in Miami, he usually carries his working suitcase on the plane. However, this time he was told to leave it.

However, airlines then canceled flights and notified all passengers they could retrieve their registered luggage in a baggage belt at Terminal 4, the statement said.

Garcia said he had waited at least two hours for his pink gossip suitcase, which contained Apple MacBook, Apple iPad, Apple Watch, jewelry, high-end women's clothing, and toiletries. The items never came out of the baggage belt.

In an interview at WPLG, Garcia said Spirit Airlines informed him that his luggage had been sent to his home. However, the luggage never came.

Garcia is also looking for other ways with his own electronic tracker. He then gave a ping signal on the electronic items in the bag to try to find them. The ping signal shows the items were at an address in Fort Lauderdale, the statement said.

He then went to retrieve his belongings from the address, but he was unable to contact anyone inside the house, a statement said.

While at home, he took videos and photos, where he saw "some pieces of luggage in front of the house," none of them belonged to him, the statement said.

Garcia told the WPLG that he calledUS "The first thing I remember from the police was: 'What are you doing here? It's very dangerous for you to be here.'"

When a detective from Broward County Sheriff's Office searched for the address on the airport employee database, he found Bazile reportedly living at the address.

According to a statement, Bazile was listed working at the Paradies Lagardére Travel Retail store at the airport and was working on the day of the theft.

The store's loss prevention manager was contacted, and he provided a detective with internal CCTV footage from the day of the incident, allegedly showing Bazile entering the store's storage space with a pinkJing suitcase, which matched the stolen description, then ransacked it, a statement said.

He then appeared to take MacBooks and other small items from the suitcase and put them in another bag. A WPLG video shows a photo of a man holding a plastic bag containing a pink suitcase and laptop.

"Paradies Lagardère took this matter very seriously. Immediately after learning of the incident, the employee was dismissed. Since this is an ongoing police matter, we have been working together on an investigation and recommended contacting the Fort Lauderdale Police Department for further information," the company told CNN.

In a statement, Spirit Airlines told CNN that although they were "not aware of any evidence that Spirit employees were involved," the airline issued a replacement check to the woman whose suitcase was stolen, "as a form of respect."
