Declared Not Fulfilling The Requirements For The Independent DKI Cagub-Cawagub List, Dharma-Kun Wardana Sues KPU To Bawaslu

JAKARTA - The candidate pair for Governor and Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta for the individual route, Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana, has submitted a request for a dispute over the verification process for the administrative requirements for nomination to the DKI Jakarta Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu).

Dharma-Kun Wardana sued the DKI Jakarta General Election Commission (KPU) to the DKI Jakarta Bawaslu because it was declared ineligible in completing the administration of the repair of supporting requirements documents.

The dispute application was submitted by Dharma-Kun Wardana to Bawaslu on Wednesday, June 19. Today, the DKI Jakarta Bawaslu held a plenary meeting to decide on the follow-up to the request.

"The Dharma-Kun dispute application file has entered Bawaslu. Today's plan will be discussed at the leadership plenary meeting," said DKI Jakarta Bawaslu member Benny Sabdo to VOI, Thursday, June 20.

If the results of the plenary meeting decide that the application is accepted, Bawaslu will have 12 working days to conduct an examination until the verdict on the second lawsuit will be the independent governor-cawagub of DKI.

"Bawaslu will work professionally and transparently to uphold fair legal certainty," said Benny.

The DKI Jakarta KPU stated that Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana did not meet the administrative requirements for improving the nomination supporting documents in the regional elections.

"Of the 1,229,777 data uploaded to Silon (The Candidate Information System), 447,469 were declared eligible (MS) and 782,308 did not meet the requirements (TMS)," said Head of the DKI Jakarta KPU Technical Division Dody Wijaya.

Dody said that the amount of support to meet the requirements (MS) was still less than minimal support, which was 618,968 people who had been determined so that the administrative verification status for prospective individual pairs was declared ineligible.

The DKI Jakarta Provincial KPU has completed the verification of the first repair administration from June 9 to June 18, 2024 through Silon.

The stage of administrative verification of improvement is the stages of checking the validity and veracity of the supporting requirements documents, both statements of support, electronic ID cards, data suitability inputs in Silon as well as identity statements for supporters who on electronic ID cards have occupation status as members of the TNI, Polri, ASN, village officials or aged not yet 17 years but are married.

Meanwhile, Kun Wardana emphasized that the condition for supporting residents' ID cards for him and Dharma was not because the amount of support had not been achieved. Dharma-Kun has difficulty entering support data into the KPU's Nomination Information System (Silon) application.

"There are three things that are our obstacles. The first is the constraint in the Silon application itself, the second is downtime from the Silon server, and the third is time because the data count is so large," explained Kun.

"So in this Silon application, we suffered a loss of time in upload. Because there is no button in uploading data, updating data, or adding data, for quite a long time," he added.
