Ask Supporters Not To Upload Presidential Elections Anymore, Anies: Yesterday's Struggle Has Passed, Closes Books

JAKARTA - Anies Baswedan asked the people who support him not to discuss the 2024 presidential election anymore. After losing the presidential election, Anies announced that he would run as a candidate for Governor of DKI Jakarta.

Thus, Anies asked his supporters to focus on the implementation of the 2024 Pilkada. This was conveyed while attending a gathering held by the Jakarta Concerned Community.

"Yesterday's struggle phase has passed, close the book. Now we are starting a new phase and what is the new phase that we are concentrating on? For Jakarta residents who need attention, Jakarta residents need the hands of the state," said Anies in the South Jakarta area, Wednesday, June 19.

Anies also highlighted a number of problems that are currently being experienced by Jakarta residents, one of which is the problem of former Kampung Bayam residents who have not yet received access to the Kampung Susun Bayam (KSB) residence.

Anies also highlighted the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government's policy of revoking the policy of exemption from land taxes and rural and urban buildings (PBB-P2) for all houses with NJOP below IDR 2 billion.

The free tax on houses under Rp. 2 billion was previously issued by Anies Baswedan while serving as Governor of DKI Jakarta.

"I, with the fact that yesterday there was a UN that changed in Jakarta. This is an example of a policy that we must take in the future, is a policy that is in favor of, in favor of what? Justice," explained Anies.

Anies admitted that he was still focused on observing Jakarta's problems and formulating the idea of policies that were brought when he ran for the 2024 Pilkada. So, even though he has received party support, Anies has not thought about who is the right person to become a candidate for deputy governor in his partner.

"Recently, I have often been asked, 'Sir, who will partner you with?' It's not about that. What's more important is how to make Jakartans live in peace, prosperity, can feel justice. Our focus is there and this is all part of what we used to do together in Jakarta. Later, if Allah allows, hopefully we will continue," he explained.
