Stepfather In Jasinga Arrested On Alleged Obscenity Of Minors

Bogor - Bogor Police Sector Police arrested a man with the initials MRS (31) on suspicion of molestation of his underage stepdaughter. This arrest was made after a report from the victim's mother.

Jasinga Police Chief, AKP Budi Sehabudin, revealed that MRS, who is a resident of Jasinga District, Bogor Regency, was arrested injured as a result of being judged by local residents.

"We have secured the perpetrators and taken the initial steps to handle this case. Currently, we are also coordinating with the Bogor Police PPA unit and the Public Prosecutor (JPU) for the next legal process," he said on Tuesday, June 18.

According to the police chief, this case emerged after the victim's mother found her 10-year-old daughter naked at home on Sunday, June 16. The victim's mother who had just returned from work found the house door locked from the inside. After no response from inside the house, he decided to enter through an unlocked window and find his son in no pants.

When asked by his mother, the victim admitted that she had been a victim of sexual abuse by her stepfather who was in the bathroom at that time. MRS told his wife admitting that he had molested the victim five times since some time ago.

The victim's mother immediately reported this incident to her family and the police. MRS was then taken to the Jasinga Health Center for medical treatment before being taken to the police station.

"We will ensure that the perpetrators get the appropriate legal process and the victim gets the necessary assistance," added Budi Sehabudin.

The police have also coordinated with the Women and Children Protection Unit (PPA) of the Bogor Police and the Public Prosecutor (JPU) to ensure that the legal process runs smoothly and fairly.

This case has attracted the attention of the local community and added to the long list of cases of violence against children that require serious handling from various parties.
