BMKG Detects Maximum Heat Capai 35 Degree Celsius During Eid Al-Adha

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) detected almost all regions in Indonesia hit by a daily maximum heat temperature of up to 35 degrees Celsius today or to coincide with Eid al-Adha 1445 Hijri/2024 AD. "In the last 24 hours, conditions for the maximum heat temperature have been detected hitting the majority of areas ranging from West Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, West Java, and DKI Jakarta," the BMKG Public Meteorological Center reported in a written statement received in Jakarta, Antara, Monday, June 17. Based on the results of an analysis by a team of BMKG meteorologists on Monday afternoon, the hottest temperature in the Kapuas Hulu area, West Kalimantan (BMKG Pangsuma Station) is 35.6 degrees Celsius. The meteorological team at the same time also analyzed the maximum heat temperature as high as 34.6-33.4 degrees Celsius hitting most areas starting in Central Kalimantan, West Java, East Java, East Nusa Tenggara, and South Sumatra. As previously reported, the BMKG meteorolgi team confirmed that in general the maximum heat temperature during the day was caused by the apparent movement of the sun with the closest distance in the equator. This phenomenon also marks that the dry season will begin to hit Indonesia, which as previously predicted will take place from June to September 2024. In order to reduce the impact of hot temperatures, BMKG urges the public to consume mineral water adequately and regularly to avoid dehydration, especially when carrying out sacrificial worship that is carried out outdoors.
