Accounting Office In West Jakarta Becomes A Location For Making Counterfeit Money Of IDR 22 Billion

JAKARTA - An accountant's office in the Srengseng area, Kembangan, West Jakarta (Jakbar) is the location for making counterfeit money worth IDR 22 billion.

Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi said his party found a printing machine to ink at that location.

"One counter, one money cutting machine, and one GTO machine or printing machine, then there is some colorful printing ink," he said, Monday, June 17.

Ade Ary explained that there were three perpetrators who worked to print counterfeit money at the location. They are M, YA, and FF.

"M works privately from Cirebon. Then YES, the work is a casual daily worker from Sukabumi City, then FF is a private job from Surabaya," he said.

Ade Ary added that currently his party is still investigating the circulation of counterfeit money, whether it will be distributed to Jakarta or outside the region.

"This is still being investigated, what is clear is that the three suspects were secured with evidence of Rp. 22 billion, counterfeit bills of Rp. 100,000," he said.

For their actions, the three were charged with Article 244 and Article 245 of the Criminal Code with a maximum penalty of 12 years in prison.

"Currently it is still in the process of being investigated, please take time. Development will also continue to be carried out, press releases will be carried out in the near future," he said.
