BANDUNG - Acting Governor of West Java Bey Kalioni Machmudin emphasized that there should not be state civil servants (ASN) in West Java, playing online or online gambling, let alone getting addicted. Because, said Bey, there have been clear regulations for state officials regarding the prohibition of gambling, therefore he asked that no West Java ASN play or become addicted to gambling in any form, including online. "There are rules (ASN) not to gamble. (including) online," said Bey in Jayagiri, Lembang, West Bandung, Antara, Monday, June 17. Bey also reminded that the rampant cases that occur, due to the impact of online gambling, should be a lesson for all parties, including ASN, not to do the same, especially gambling as well as acts prohibited by religion. "Don't play gambling in any form. Religion also prohibits it," said Bey. Previously, the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) of West Java Province said that online gambling practices in West Java had now entered an alarming level, so they asked that this practice be dealt with firmly by the authorities. "It's sad to be concerned about this online gambling phenomenon, even more sad," said West Java, Secretary of West Java MUI KH Rafani Akhyar at the West Java Police Headquarters, Thursday (13/6). Rafani said that the West Java MUI had received a report from the Cianjur Regency MUI regarding the case of a mother in Cianjur who was caught in an online gambling case.

As a result of being entangled in online gambling, said Rafani, the mother who is married to a civil servant is now desperate to sell her house for Rp. 1 billion.
