Bogor Residents Enthusiastically Pray Eid Al-Adha With Elected President Prabowo

BOGOR - Minister of Defense (Menhan) of the Republic of Indonesia and President-elect Prabowo Subianto perform Eid al-Adha 1445 Hijri prayers at a mosque around his residence in Hambalang, Bogor Regency, West Java, Monday, June 17.

Head of the Public Relations Bureau of the Secretariat General of the Indonesian Ministry of Defense Brigadier General TNI Edwin Adrian Sumantha conveyed the information when he was contacted in Jakarta, Monday, June 17.

"Mr. Defense Minister performs Eid prayers in Hambalang, Bogor Regency, West Java," said Edwin, quoted by ANTARA.

In Hambalang, Prabowo performs Eid prayers with his relatives and personal assistants, and the community around Hambalang.

In Hambalang, Prabowo distributed 48 cows as sacrificial animals that would be distributed to the community. Not only distributing sacrificial animals to the people in Hambalang, Prabowo also handed over sacrificial animals in the form of one cow weighing 1.2 tons to the Istiqlal Mosque in Jakarta.

Then, Prabowo also handed over a sacrificial animal in the form of a cow weighing 1 ton to the Grand Mosque of Medan, North Sumatra. The sacrificial animals will be slaughtered in their respective places on the first day of Eid al-Adha, Monday.

Meanwhile, other defense and security officials, such as the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) RI Hadi Tjahjanto also chose to perform Eid prayers around his residence in Jakarta. Hadi performed Eid prayers with his family and staff at the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs.

Then, the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo prayed Eid al-Adha in the Simpang Lima area, Semarang, Central Java, Monday. A number of officials accompanied the Eid prayer of the Head of State, including the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimoeljono, the Head of LKPP Hendrar Prihadi, and the Acting Governor of Central Java Nana Sudjana.

In the series of worship, the Chairman of the General Election Commission (KPU) Hasyim Asy'ari served as a preacher for Eid prayer with the President of the Republic of Indonesia at Simpang Lima.
