Blitar Immigration Deports 2 Pakistani Foreigners For Requesting Forced Donations

JAKARTA - The Class II Immigration Office of Non-TPI Blitar, East Java, deported two foreign nationals (WNA) from Pakistan with the initials MI (45) and MA (44) for asking for donations to the community by force.

Head of the Class II Immigration Office Non TPI Blitar Arief Yudistira said the two cases had been handled, including a decree regarding the provision of immigration immigration measures for deportation.

The deportation decree was given to MI (45) and MA (44) from Pakistan.

When the deportation was carried out, the two were escorted by officers to Juanda International Airport, Surabaya to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Jakarta.

MI and MA are subject to NOT in accordance with Article 75 paragraph (1) of Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration. Subsequently, deportation was carried out with a time of 6 months of deterrence.

The escort and deportation process of two Pakistani citizens went smoothly with the assistance of cooperation from the Special Class I Immigration Office of TPI Soekarno Hatta, AVSEC and the airline," he said.

MI and MA previously entered and were in Malaysian territory for donation collection activities. Then, they landed at Juanda Airport and then continued their journey to Bandar Lampung to collect donations.

MI and MA then continued their journey to Jakarta and obtained an extension of the residence permit issued by the Class I Immigration Office of TPI East Jakarta valid from March 25 to May 28, 2024.

MI and MA then continued their journey to Malang, Pasuruan, Tulungagung and Blitar with the same goal, namely collecting donations.

For the arrangement of residence permits in Indonesia, the two asked for help from their brothers from Pakistan, then those from Pakistan communicated with colleagues in Jakarta for an extension at the East Jakarta Immigration, so an extension was issued until May 28, 2024.

He also said MI and MA revealed that in their actions they asked by forcing and manipulating the mosque's takmir, as well as charitable institutions.

When asking for donations, it also sets a minimum so that it makes those who object.

However, after further inspection, it turned out that the purpose of sending donations was not to be sent to Palestine but to be sent to Pakistan.

Both claimed to have madrasas in Pakistan and some of them were Palestinians, so this was used as a reason for donations for Palestine.

In addition, the donations collected were also used for daily living expenses in the form of eating, drinking, staying at hotels, renting motorbikes, leasing rental vehicles, purchasing train tickets, purchasing bus tickets and paying for an extension of the stay permit for visits.
