JAKARTA - To help residents extend the validity period of the legal driving requirements on Saturday and this long holiday, the Traffic Directorate (Ditlantas) of Polda Metro Jaya has opened an extension service for the validity of the Mobile Driving Permit (SIM) in five Jakarta locations.

Launching ANTARA, Saturday, June 15, SIM outlets are open from 08.00 to 12.00 WIB, and Polda Metro Jaya via the Twitter account @tmcpoldametro detailed this SIM service in five locations today, namely in:

East Jakarta: Grand Cakung Mall North Jakarta: LTC Glodok South Jakarta: Kalibata Trilogy Campus West Jakarta: Citraland Mall Central Jakarta: Banteng Field Post Office

People who want to access and be served in mobile SIM facilities must prepare and complete the required requirements, and administrative costs before visiting the location of the SIM document extension.

The requirements are still valid ID cards, then old driver's license and original driver's license photo, proof of a health check, and evidence of a psychological test.

This mobile SIM car service can only extend valid SIM for certain groups, namely SIM A and SIM C. For SIMs that have expired, SIM owners must make a new SIM application in a place that has been determined by the police.

Then, in the context of the national holiday for Eid al-Adha 1445 Hijri, the Mobile SIM Unit, the DKI Jakarta Administration Organizing Unit (Satpas) service, and the DKI Jakarta SIM Outlet Unit on 17-18 June 2024.

The police will open a SIM control service on Wednesday, June 19, 2024. Then, SIM holders whose validity period expires on June 17 and 18, 2024 can carry out SIM extensions on June 19 and 20, 2024 with an extension mechanism.
