Tanjung Anies, Sandiaga Calls Jakarta's Sustainability Representation In The Future

JAKARTA - United Development Party (PPP) politician Sandiaga Uno responded to the decision of the Jakarta National Awakening Party (PKB) Regional Management Council (DPW) which declared support for Anies Baswedan to run as a candidate for governor of Jakarta.

Sandiaga considers Anies as a representation of sustainability. He sees this as an advantage for Anies

"If I'm not mistaken, the latest data shows that Jakarta has the same message as yesterday's presidential election, sustainability is not a change," Sandiaga said in his statement, Thursday, June 13.

"This is of course very profitable for Mas Anies as an incumbent because he will be able to represent sustainability," he continued.

It is known that the Regional Management Board (DPW) of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Jakarta has officially declared support for Anies Baswedan to run as a candidate for governor of Jakarta in the 2024 Pilkada which will be held on November 27, 2024. DPW PKB Jakarta only nominates Anies, without any alternative figures.

"PKB Jakarta has decided that Anies Baswedan will become the sole candidate for the Jakarta gubernatorial election," said the chairman of the Jakarta PKB DPW, Hasbiallah Ilyas when reading the recommendation letter directly for support for Anies, at the Jakarta PKB DPW office, last Wednesday.

The support for Anies, said Hasbiallah, was given after his party listened to input and aspirations from various elements, both internal and external PKB.

"Of the many who nominated the Jakarta PKB DPW, thank God I as chairman of the Jakarta PKB DPW heard the aspirations from the PAC branch level, DPC, to the DPW level," he said.
