JAKARTA - The Israeli military said forty rockets were fired at northern Israel and the Golan Heights caused fires in 10 locations the team was trying to extinguish.
The rockets were fired from northern Lebanon, and Iran-backed Lebanese militant group Hezbollah claimed responsibility for the attack, reported by CNN, Thursday, June 13.
The group said it was targeting six Israeli military barracks using Katyusha and Falaq rockets and using three drones to target the base. Hezbollah claims it attacked the base with drones.
Israel's Defense Forces (IDF) said it could not confirm whether the military base had been attacked, but said many launches had been intercepted and several rockets were affected.
Two people were treated for minor injuries from shrapnel, said Magen emergency service David Adom Israel.
