PKS Respects PKB Officially Carrying Anies Baswedan In The Jakarta Gubernatorial Election

JAKARTA - The Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) respects the attitude of the National Awakening Party (PKB) which officially carries Anies Baswedan in the upcoming 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election. PKS is still investigating the governor candidates including Anies. "PKS is still investigating the candidates for the governor of DKI. If PKB has declared, yes we respect of the PKB steps. But PKS is also in the DPP, it must go through the process," said Chairman of the PKS DPP Jazuli Juwaini, at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, June 13. Jazuli explained, there is a difference between PKS and other parties. If PKS proposes a figure in the Pilkada, then the proposal comes from the lower current. Furthermore, it will be discussed and decided by the DPP and the Syuro Council. "That's why, if PKS carries one regional head candidate, the machine is solid because the proposal is from below. Well, when the proposal from below is felt that people have it. Well, of course, we must maintain the system that this PKS has been created, not because a particular party has already declared one candidate, then PKS must, so we must respect the process. This process is part of the system that has been made in the Prosperous Justice Party," he explained. However, the chairman of the PKS faction in the DPR RI ensures that the announcement of the Jakarta cagub will not exceed the registration time. "God willing, it is impossible for PKS to announce it from August because the registration is August. InsyaAllah will only announce a narrowness, the figure to be nominated, right? If there are several figures that have been raised, yes, the figures are already known to the public too," he said.

Apart from PKB, added Jazuli, PKS also opens cooperation with all political parties for the 2024 Pilkada. "This PKS is open to communication with all existing parties. The party's problems are not willing, that's another matter. But PKS is open and trying to continue to communicate with the entire party," he concluded.
