Heavy Rain, Motorcyclist In Bogor Killed By Falling Tree

Rain accompanied by winds that fell in the Bogor City area, West Java, causing the Kicopong tree to be about 60 centimeters in diameter with a height of 10 meters to fall on Jalan Raya KS Tubun, Cibuluh Village, North Bogor District, Bogor City, Wednesday, June 12 night.

As a result of this incident, a student who was passing by using a motorcycle named Saputra Dwi Andika (19) was hit by a tree and died at around 20.30 WIB.

"It happened so fast when it rained. One driver who was hit by a tree was immediately evacuated," said Head of BPBD Bogor City Hidayatullah, Thursday, June 13.

Head of BPBD Bogor City Hidayatullah revealed that the victim had received help after being successfully evacuated, but his life could not be saved.

"The victim died while on his way to the hospital," added Hidayatullah.

Rain accompanied by wind in the last few days has flushed the Bogor area. According to data from the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), the Bogor area will be rained again on Thursday, June 13, but with light intensity.
