PROBOLINGGO - A 62-year-old grandfather, a resident of Krajan Hamlet, Besuk Village, Bantaran District, Probolinggo Regency, East Java, died after being stabbed by an unknown person, on Wednesday, June 12 evening.

The victim was stabbed while sitting in the side alley of his house. Despite acting alone, the perpetrator was able to kill the victim in a short time.

Information gathered was that the stabbing victim was named Spatap (62). He was killed by the perpetrator at around 18.00 WIB or after the call to prayer Maghrib. At that time, it was reported that the victim had just returned home looking for grass in the rice fields.

The victim's child, Suryati (35), revealed that when the incident occurred, she was cooking rice. Suddenly there was a scream from the side alley of the house.

"When I wanted to come to the scene, I saw a man running towards the north. I was chasing him, but I stopped because my mother screamed," explained Suryati.

Suryati said that the perpetrator fled with a sickle. The characteristics of the perpetrator are thin and wearing green clothes. "I saw that the perpetrator was about 30 years old," he said.
