Peti Setiawan Says Thank You To Jokowi And The Indonesian People

The suspect in the murder of Vina Cirebon, Pegi Setiawan at the West Java Police Headquarters (ANTARA)

BANDUNG - Pegi Setiawan thanked President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and the Indonesian people. This thank you was conveyed by Pegi for his support and sympathy during his time as a suspect in the 2016 murder case of Vina and Eky in Cirebon.

This was conveyed by Pergi's mother, Kartini at the West Java (Jabar) Regional Police Ditreskrimum building Tuesday, June 12, 2024. "The member of the message to all netizens in Indonesia and the president expressed his gratitude for his support so far to him for all his sympathy for Pegi," he said.

Kartini added that the condition of his son, Pegi Setiawan, while being detained at the West Java Police Headquarters was in good health. "Pegi would like to thank the president, the people of Indonesia and netizens as well as to his legal adviser Pegi," he said.

He admitted that he came this time to meet Pegi and at the same time let go of his longing. Kartini also brought food for Pegi.

"Come to visit his son and at the same time release his longing while bringing the food ordered by Pegi, namely dry orek, sambal tempeh, rice and chicken," he added.

Previously, Pegi through his attorney had registered a pretrial lawsuit at the Bandung City District Court. The pretrial was filed regarding the determination of the suspect by the Jabat Police.

Meanwhile, West Java Police investigators are targeting to delegate the case next week. Investigators are currently consulting with the prosecutor's office.
